Privacy
The short version: we collect as little as the site can function on, we never sell or rent it, and there is nothing you have to hand over to read anything published here.
What we never ask for
Your Social Security number. Not on the enquiry form, not anywhere. No legitimate quote needs one before an application, and any tool demanding it earlier is collecting data rather than pricing a policy.
Your medical records. The enquiry form asks only for a broad description of your situation. Detailed health history belongs in an application, with the carrier — not on a publisher's server.
What we collect, and when
If you read the site and nothing else, we collect nothing that identifies you personally. No registration, no gate, no form.
If you send an enquiry, we collect what you type: your name, email address, state, and optionally your phone number, age band, the cover amount you have in mind, a broad topic, and any message you write. We also record the page you sent it from, the fact that you consented to be contacted, and your IP address (for spam prevention).
If you join the update list, we collect your email address and the page you signed up from.
Analytics. Like most sites we use analytics to understand which pages get read. This is aggregate traffic measurement, not individual tracking, and it is not linked to enquiry data.
Who your details go to
If you send an enquiry, it is read by a person here and passed to one licensed insurance agent who handles impaired-risk cases, so they can contact you about cover. That is the purpose you gave it to us for and the only thing we use it for.
We do not distribute enquiries to a panel of lead buyers. We do not sell, rent or trade your details. We do not add enquiry senders to the mailing list.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while they are useful and then deleted. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. If you want either removed sooner, ask and we will do it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the contact page and we will action it.
Every newsletter has a one-click unsubscribe. It works, and it takes effect immediately.
Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights — for example under the CCPA in California — including the right to know what is collected and the right to request deletion. Those rights apply here regardless of where you live, because the answer is the same for everyone: ask, and we will tell you or delete it.
Security, honestly stated
This is a WordPress site on shared hosting. We keep it updated and we do not store anything sensitive — no payment details, no Social Security numbers, no medical records. That is a deliberate design choice, because the most reliable way to protect data is not to hold it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who it goes to, the change is noted here with the date rather than made quietly.
