AI content policy
We use AI tools in producing this site. Readers are entitled to know where, and to know that using them changes nothing about who is accountable for what gets published.
Where AI is used
Drafting and structuring. Turning research notes into readable prose, proposing outlines, and flagging where an explanation is unclear or a section is missing.
Editing. Tightening sentences, catching repetition, and marking jargon a first-time reader would not follow.
Maintenance. Finding pages affected when a definition changes, and spotting internal links that ought to exist.
Where AI is not used
AI does not decide what is true on this site.
No underwriting figure, rate band, threshold or description of carrier behaviour is published because a language model produced it. Those come from the sources described in the editorial policy and are checked against them before publication. A model's summary of what carriers "typically" do is not evidence, and we do not treat it as any.
AI is not used to fabricate experience, invent a practitioner quote, or manufacture a review or testimonial.
Accountability
Every page is reviewed by a person before it publishes, and that person is accountable for its accuracy regardless of how the draft was produced. The review date on each page records when that last happened.
If a page here contains an error, the failure is editorial rather than technical. Report it through the contact page; the corrections section of the editorial policy sets out what happens next.
